Event Overview 

The IsDB 2025 strategy seeks to mainstream relevant Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) components in its operations as a cross-cutting enabler that will help to create greater impact. This includes the adoption of technological innovations aimed at addressing developmental challenges facing member countries such as greenhouse gas emissions and climate impacts. Through technology transfer therefore, the Bank can contribute to significant adaptation and mitigation actions in member countries. This event will: a) Improve awareness among IsDB member countries, promote technology transfer and deployment for climate action; b) Highlight key steps, processes and partnerships; and financing; c) Identify opportunities for south-south cooperation 

Event Outcomes 

• Partnership opportunities identified/materialised for south-south cooperation 
• Highlight the importance of cost-effective/relevant technologies in mitigating the impacts of climate change
